Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms
6-8 St. Helens Square
York YO1 8QP

All in all there are 6 Bettys, two of which are in York. Bettys takes all their red meat, ham and bacon from Yorkshire and depending on the season they use local vegetables and dairy products to some extent. All the bakery are made in Harrogate as are the teas and coffees. There is a range of organic breads and a couple of organic teas and coffees. Bettys also offers some gourmet fair trade coffee.

La Cremeria
20 High Petergate
York YO1 7EH

This is a cafe with a hole in the wall ice-cream bar. The handmade Italian style ice cream doesn't only taste fantastic, it has the extra bonus of being almost 100 percent locally sourced. When it comes to the cafe, the biscuits and cakes are from our region.

and Treasurer's House

Here you can enjoy regional beer, water, vegetables, bread, red meat (of which some is organic), sausages, cream, cheese, milk and fruit and of course vegetables and herbs from the own gardens! The NT's fruit juices are fair trade. An extra plus point for the policy to use renewable energy sources!
